These individuals work both above and below the line to bring a motion picture to life. Producers oversee all aspects of a film’s production, from development to distribution. They secure funding, hire key personnel, manage the production budget, and ensure the film stays on schedule.


Directors are responsible for translating the script into a visual medium. They work closely with the cast and crew to bring their creative vision to life.


Writers develop the screenplay or script, crafting the story, characters, and dialogue that form the foundation of the film.

The production manager oversees the logistical aspects of the production, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating resources.


The production coordinator assists the production manager, handling administrative tasks, organizing permits, managing logistics, and coordinating the crew.


The 1st AD is responsible for managing the set and ensuring that the director’s vision is executed efficiently. They create the shooting schedule, coordinate between departments, and maintain order on set.


The 2nd AD assists the 1st AD in managing the set, handling logistics, and coordinating with background actors, among other tasks.


The 2nd 2nd AD supports the 1st and 2nd ADs, handling additional administrative tasks such as managing paperwork, organizing call sheets, and coordinating extras.


Production assistants provide general support to the production team, performing various tasks as needed, such as running errands, assisting with paperwork, and setting up equipment.

2.2.1 Director of Photography (DP):

The DP is in charge of the film’s visual elements, working closely with the director to create the desired look and feel. They oversee camera operation, lighting, and shot composition.

Camera operators physically handle the camera during filming, executing the DP’s instructions and capturing the desired shots.

2.2.3 Assistant Camera (AC):
