Video / Film Production Logistics / Pre-Production Services
At Think Global Media, we believe that a successful film starts with a solid pre-production process. It is during this crucial phase that we lay the foundation for a seamless production journey. In this article, we will take you through the steps of our film pre-production process, highlighting how we meticulously plan and prepare to bring your vision to life on the big screen.
The first step in our film pre-production process is concept development. We work closely with you to understand your vision, goals, and desired message. Through brainstorming sessions and in-depth discussions, we collaborate to shape the concept of your film. Our team of experienced creatives brings their expertise to the table, helping to refine ideas and ensure that the concept aligns with your objectives.
**Scriptwriting and Storyboarding:**
Once the concept is finalized, our talented scriptwriters swing into action. They transform your vision into a compelling screenplay, carefully crafting dialogues and narratives that engage the audience. Concurrently, our storyboard artists work on visualizing the script, creating a series of sequential illustrations that serve as a blueprint for the film. This step allows us to visualize the shots, camera angles, and overall composition, ensuring a cohesive and visually captivating story.
**Budgeting and Scheduling:**
Once the creative elements are in place, we shift our focus to the logistical aspects of the film. Our team meticulously prepares a detailed budget, taking into account all the required resources, equipment, crew, and post-production needs. We also create a comprehensive shooting schedule, ensuring that every scene is carefully planned to optimize time and resources. This step allows us to streamline the production process and maintain efficiency throughout.
How it works…
When you and your team land at the airport with gear in tow. The Global Filmz Transportation Team will greet them, load everything up, and take them to their lodging. If you are traveling light no worries, our Fixer Team can arrange to have production rental equipment reserved for you and on standby waiting you arrival. Short on man power? Give us a call prior to arrival and we will have crew in place and ready for the production call-time. Think of us as a “one stop shop” If it pertains to film production and you needed it for a production, we can have it waiting for you upon your arrival.
You’ll also have transportation to and from the set daily. Our transportations teams are well-versed in the proper handling of filmmaking equipment and each team will have at least one member knowledgeable in production. Once production wraps, all of your gear will be loaded up and delivered (along with the crew) back to the airport.

Animatics are short animated sequences that provide a glimpse into how the shots will flow together. This helps us refine the pacing, timing, and overall visual storytelling. Additionally, if your film requires visual effects (VFX), we plan and strategize the integration of VFX elements during the pre-production phase to ensure a seamless blend with the live-action footage.
**Rehearsals and Table Reads:**
To ensure a strong performance from the actors, we organize rehearsals and table reads during pre-production. This allows the cast to familiarize themselves with the script, develop their characters, and establish chemistry with one another. Through these sessions, we fine-tune performances, dialogue delivery, and emotional nuances, setting the stage for a captivating on-screen experience.
**Risk Assessment and Contingency Planning:**
Pre-production is also a time when we assess potential risks and develop contingency plans. This includes identifying potential challenges such as weather conditions, logistics, or unexpected circumstances that may arise during production. By proactively addressing these risks and having backup plans in place, we can adapt quickly and minimize disruptions to the filmmaking process.
**Communication and Collaboration:**
Throughout the pre-production phase, we prioritize effective communication and collaboration. We maintain open lines of communication with you and all the key stakeholders involved in the project. We work closely with casting directors to ensure that we have a diverse and skilled cast that aligns with the vision and requirements of your film.
Finding the ideal locations for your film is a crucial part of pre-production. Our location scouts explore various options to identify the settings that best suit the story and visual aesthetics.
